After 2013’s crazy year of festivals, it seems like 2014 will have a hard time trying to top it. But, Download, Reading & Leeds and many more are already pushing their to have the biggest acts and out-do what they did in 2013, and possibly out-do one another.
With Download headliners being Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park and Aerosmith (13th-15th June), held in the usual place of Donnington Park. Then with Reading & Leeds (22nd-24th August) announcing that they have the much loved pop-punk guys Blink-182 and indie favs Arctic Monkeys; it seems hard for any other festival to top them.
But there are other festivals out there which are trying.
Isle of Wight festival (12th-15th June) have announced all of their weekend headliners. Starting on Friday with Biffy Clyro and Calvin Harris then following up with Red Hot Chilli Peppers on Saturday and then closing on Sunday with Kings of Leon. Other acts announced for the weekend included:-

However, if none of these are catching your eye and you’re into something a bit different to what Download has to offer then Sonisphere is your place. The festival takes place 4th- 6th July and is situated in Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire. After a year out, one of the biggest rock festivals is back in business; securing headliners The Prodigy, Iron Maiden and Metallica. Other acts that have been announced include:-

But if you want a chilled out weekend with indie styled music then maybe Latitude Festival is up your street. Their line up includes Two Door Cinema Club, Damon Albarn, Bombay Bicycle Club and Tame Impala. The festival is held in July from the 17th till the 20th and takes place at Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk.
So if you can’t decide on a festival, keep looking and listening for announcements which are coming out almost daily now. There will be one with exactly the right line up for you. The Links to the full line-ups for all the festivals I have mentioned above are below:-
