About the blogger

I don’t want to bore you with the giving you my entire background and what I enjoy because we all know how boring that can be. So here is a quick fact file about me, it shouldn’t be that hard to read.

Name: Toni Thomas-Donald

Age: 18

What do I do? I am currently at Portsmouth University studying Journalism.

Why did I start my blog? I started my blog as a way to get my voice heard. I wanted people to be able to know that latest music news, find out about new bands and keep up to date on different album/song releases all in one place. Yes, I am aware there are other places which do all this but there is no harm in trying.

My own music taste: I don’t have a particular genre which I listen to the most, I do like a bit of everything. Though I must say I am more of rock fan than I am over everything else; my favourite bands being Slipknot and Five Finger Death Punch. I try not to let my opinion come across in the articles which I write on here, but some pieces, for example the top 5 albums of 2013, its hard to keep my opinion hidden.

Other interests: I have a few other interests besides music, including photography. Though I admit I’m not very good at it, I do enjoy taking my camera out and photographing the area around me. Portsmouth is a great place to photograph, especially with the contrast between the built up student city and the Old Portsmouth pier. Another interest is writing, hence the journalism degree. I enjoy finding something new and exciting to write about and I also enjoy being the first to tell other people. (This is probably why I want to be a journalist.)
